We stop for one night at Village Creek State Park in Lumberton Texas. It is just north of Beaumont Texas. They have kayaks, canoes and paddleboards for rent. The highlight was Tia Juanitas Fish Camp, which had some of the best seafood we have ever eaten. Watch out for the low ground clearance on the railroad tracks near the entrance to the State Park.

@@steveleston1848 I don’t have any real good suggestions on getting it out of the tilt tube without damaging it. If your old motor is trashed you could try heating the tilt tube with a torch. If you damage the shaft, they won’t sell you a new shaft unless you have a dealer buddy that can order you one. They make a special hone for the tilt tube and you are supposed to remove shaft and hone tilt tube every couple of years to prevent it getting seized.

@@steveleston1848 it is just a round shaft with threads on each end. You just need to carefully tap it out of the tilt tube without damaging the threads. Spraying it with JB Blaster or some other penetrating oil first and let it sit may help.

You made a good choice going with Brooklyn Bedding my friend. They are among the best quality mattresses on the market. Buying a mattress is so much more of a thing than it was back in the day. You have to take in account several factors before choosing one that will be perfect for you, such as... 1. What position do you sleep in. Are you a - 1. Back sleeper 2. Stomach sleeper 3. Side sleeper? 2. Are you a Hot or Cool sleeper? (Do you sweat at night) 3. Do you tend to get up often at night? (Isolation Mattress) 4. Do you like a soft/sinking feeling when you sleep or do you prefer to have a sleeping on top of the mattress feel? It may seem like a lot of things to consider, but when you look into these factors it makes a world of difference in the results. I was overwhelmed at first myself, but after a couple of hours of watching YT videos and online research it was very easy to understand all these factors. One major factor when it comes to buying a new mattress is whether or not it's safe for you. Why? Because a lot of big name mattresses now a days contain fiberglass inside them! That's right, fiberglass! I don't need to tell you how dangerous that is to your health (breath that stuff in and it's pretty much game over for you). Here's why I mention this point; Brooklyn Bedding is one of the few name brand mattresses that DON'T contain fiberglass in their mattresses. To be helpful to you I included a list of mattresses to avoid when shopping for a new mattress because they DO have fiberglass inside them. They are the doors from the pantry and I ordered them from the dealer using the GD parts diagrams available online. The new models come with the doors and might be a better fit. I would go to a dealer with a measuring tape and measure the new ones. The ones I used barely fit and I had to use a special hinge on the side next to the shower. If you order the newer ones, get the VIN from the newer trailer, they will not order parts without the VIN number. If you give them your VIN, they may not let you order it saying the part number does not match the trailer.

Hi, just discovered your channel (now a subscriber). I am planning a similar trip to Alaska next year (2025) probably August. You provided some excellent information. Is it possible to get your itinerary showing campground stayed, number of days, hikes, things visited, and excursions? I am sort of your neighbor, Gulf Shores is my home.

I did it in RV Trip Wizard, I will see if I can export it

I installed the 1000CL on my 5.6" Tundra bed yesterday. Had the full sized on my old Escalade EXT for 9 years so I am familiar with BEDSLIDE. This new one when fully extended can be slid left about 6" and they say that's normal on the newer model due to the opening mechanisms. My OCD doesn't like that at all. Took it over to my local 4x4 store and they even called it in for me and they got the same BS. Just doesn't sit well with me at all. Glad yours worked out!

We love having the the bedslide, my only complaint is I wish the side rails were a little beefier and a couple inches taller. Thanks for watching

Use a shallow 7/8 socket with a 6 inch extension. Works great!

Thanks, the temperature dropped 10 degrees during the eclipse. Had some good cajun food on the way there. We left Waco fight before the weather turned bad. We will be back to Texas, want to go the Hill Country

Nice video! One of the first things that we did when we purchased our used travel trailer was to replace the mattress. We had looked at Brooklyn Bedding mostly due to the sponsorships by many UA-camrs. I thought the price was kinda steep so I looked at alternatives. Like many RV owners, I frequent Amazon a lot so conducted a search for a good RV mattress. What we ended up getting is a "Milliard Memory Foam Mattress 10 inch Firm, Bed-in-a-Box | Pressure Relieving, Classic (Full)" and the price, at the time, was $250 with free shipping (it's now $280). Set up was easy and after letting it fully expand, this thing sleeps the same, or better, than the mattress in my home (we are not full time). Needless to say, we are pleased and sleep very well with our mattress. Safe travels!

We added a Serta topper (3 inch) and it is better. We were originally looking on Amazon, but the prices were all over the place and I don’t trust the reviews like I used to. If I had to do it all over again, I would have just gone to mattress stores and try them out, since I had a standard size. Thanks for watching.

@@FLWeekendWarriors That was one of my questions from the beginning. Almost like RV toilet paper, is an RV mattress really better for an RV than a regular mattress? It is all a learning experience and we all are trying to make the best decisions. Safe travels!
